Event: Australia’s National Soil Conference (23-27 November 2014)

The National Soil Science Conference for Australia is coming up at the end of November.

Hosted by Soil Science Australia, the conference will attract 400+ delegates from throughout Australasia, including researchers, analysts, educationists, advisors, extension agents, land managers and policy makers from national, state and local government, universities and the private sector.

The conference program will cover the breadth of soils, landforms and climate across the region, and the corresponding breadth of land use; from agriculture to forestry, conservation, recreation and urban use. There really is something in this conference for everyone concerned with understanding and managing soils.

The theme of the 2014 conference is Securing Australia’s soils – for profitable industries and healthy landscapes. This theme has been chosen as it reflects the vision of the National Soil Research, Development and Extension Strategy that was released in March 2014.

Registrations are open.
